Ancient Pig Nosed Turtle Could Solve Evolutionary Mystery - Design & Trend
Scientists from the Natural History Museum of Utah recently discovered an ancient turtle with a nose resembling a pig's snout - and it could help to fill in the evolutionary history of turtles, writes Nature World News.
Most turtles have a single nasal opening in their skulls, but the new species named Arvinachelys golden, has a broad snout with two bony nasal openings, according to a release.
