Driver injured after rear-ending bus

MARBLE — One person was sent to the hospital after a rear-end collision of a bus by a car. The incident occurred at 9:22 a.m. Monday.

Allen T. Smith, 42, of Calumet, was traveling north in his 2008 Pontiac G6 on Highway 169 near Marble when he rear-ended a bus that was slowed to make a right hand turn. Upon impact, his vehicle rolled and then came to rest in the right hand side ditch, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
