- He is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as “The Most Watched TV Star in the World”. He gained this recognition due to his starring roles in the television series “Knight Rider” and “Baywatch”.
- In the TV series Knight Rider, Hasselhoff never met the man behind the voice of the talking car K.I.T.T until 6 months into the series. They both met during Christmas party.
- His character name in the TV series Knight Rider was Michael Knight. Most of the fan mail was addressed to Michael Knight and some were accidently sent to actor Michael Knight. To avoid confusion the later included his initials E in between his screen name.
