The Turkish Riviera (also known popularly as the Turquoise Coast) is a term used to define an area of southwest Turkey encompassing the provinces of Antalya and MuÄla, and to a lesser extent Aydın, southern Ä°zmir and western Mersin. Noted for its fine beaches and stunning mountainous scenery, Turkey’s southwesternmost shore has long been dubbed “the Turquoise Coast”, thanks to the hues of its horizons and the sea. It’s dominated by the Baba, AkdaÄ and Bey mountains, which drop precipitously to the main coastal highway that often skims just above the water
