30 Mind-Blowing Facts About ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Andrew Garfield

Andrew Russell Garfield, a British American actor, who became world renowned with his portrayal of Eduardo Saverin in the movie "The Social Network," later went on to become "The Amazing Spider-Man," has a BAFTA TV award, a Saturn Award, a AACTA award, with 3 BAFTA nominations, 2 Golden Globe nominations and a Oscar nomination to his name.   1. He is one among the four actors, born in 1980 or after, to have a Academy Award nomination to their name. The other three actors are Ryan Gosling, the first to be nominated and also has two nominations, Eddie Redmayne who has won an Oscar and has a nomination, and Jesse Eisenberg with one nomination.
  2. At the 2006 Evening Standard Theater Awards, Garfield won the Milton Shulman Award for Outstanding Newcomer. A year later, he along with Connie Fisher, shared the London Theater Critics Circle Most Promising Newcomer Award.
  3. His first award - Manchester Evening News Theater Award for Best Newcomer, was in the year 2004, for his performance in "Kes" at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theater.
