The Himalayas is Visible Again From India After 30 Years

Many testimonies from ecologists, environmentalists, and scientists have reported that the Earth is somehow healing slowly recently because of the lockdown that has been happening in most countries all across the world.

Now that everyone is mostly at home, big factories have temporarily stopped their manufacturing duties and have made a clear path for good, fresh air. Not only that, but many reports have also been reported about things that you could never think it would happen to this day, just like the Himalayas.

The Himalaya mountains were seen again after nearby cities have been put into lockdown because of the increasing and possible chances of spreading the coronavirus. Now that everyone is at home and in mandatory quarantine and lockdown, the skies were cleared and the country's pollution lessened, which made it clear for the skies to reveal the beautiful and now visible mountains.

People who live in Jalandhar district in Punjab in Northern India were the first ones who saw the marvellous sight of the Himalaya mountains. The town was only 125 miles from the mountains, and the locals were very happy and amazed at how majestic the mountains are, seeing them from their town.

According to its local people

One of its locals and famous Indian cricket player Harbhajan Singh, went on Twitter and shared his experience in seeing the Himalaya mountains from his rooftop. He also shared some points about how pollution deprived him and his countrymen to see such beautiful sight. Singh also pointed out that pollution has been one of the main problems in India and with the lockdown that is happening right now, it has been a great help to nature and in reducing their pollution in the country.

An anonymous person was also able to share that it was their first time to see the Himalayas after 30 long years.

According to Singh in an interview with Bored Panda, he said it was unbelievable for him to see the mountains from his home town, considering the distance. He also did not think that he could still live to this day that he could see something amazing and worthwhile.

Singh also shared that the air quality in his hometown did improve after the Indian government has prohibited its people from coming out of their houses due to the coronavirus outbreak. The reason why people from India can see the mountains from their house is that the sky and air are clearer more than ever.

Singh also revealed that he has been spending lots of time with his family while staying at home and been keeping himself busy. He also shared that he is now learning how to cook, doing yoga with his wife and spending time with his daughter.
