Box Office: 'Maze Runner: Scorch Trials' Sprints Past 'Black Mass' - Hollywood Reporter

Fox's YA film adaptation Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials has pulled ahead of Johnny Depp's violent crime drama Black Mass at the North American box office.

Scorch Trials took in an estimated $11 million from 3,791 theaters Friday for a projected $31.3 million weekend, just behind the first film.
