City looking at making budget cuts
The Jacksonville City Council on Monday evening heard a second reading of its 2016 fiscal year budget with General Fund revenues and expenditures projected to equal each other at about $12.9 million.
The follow-up budget proposal seemed to generate some relief among council members, who at their Aug. 24 work session were initially read a budget that anticipated the city needing to reach into its reserve money to balance out costs.
