Judge Hears Case Over Arkansas Defunding Planned Parenthood

LITTLE ROCK - Planned Parenthood asked a federal judge Thursday to reinstate its Medicaid contract with Arkansas, arguing the state relied on "political disfavor" and not the law when it blocked funding over videos secretly recorded by an anti-abortion group.

A state attorney argued that Arkansas was within its rights, saying the videos raised concerns about the standards and ethics of the organization.
