Trojan boys basketball keeps dreams for postseason alive

YUCCA VALLEY — The Yucca Valley Trojan boys basketball team stayed in the playoff hunt Thursday night with a tightly contested victory over Desert Hot Springs 58-54.

The Trojans came out hot in the first quarter and took a commanding lead that seemed to signal an easy victory, before the Golden Eagles fought back in the second quarter to cut the Trojan’s halftime lead to seven points.
