Breakfast at Applebee’s benefits Lobos

YUCCA VALLEY — The Lobos Football Team and Cheer Squad benefited by a little more than $1,600 from a pancake breakfast fundraiser Aug. 15 at Applebee’s. The team and squad are part of Junior All American Football, a nonprofit youth organization not affiliated with any school or municipality. Players and cheerleaders seated customers, took orders, served food, bussed tables and cleaned the restaurant after the event.

“We are raising money with the breakfast today and with sales of our Lobos merchandise,” said Team Treasurer Kelly Hoover. “We are also holding a raffle for prizes donated to us by different vendors and business sponsors. We are also able to take donations at www.leaguelineup.com/yvlobos.”
