One last blast in Morongo Valley

MORONGO VALLEY — The Morongo Valley Youth Softball League came to an impressive end Friday night at Geeson Field in Covington Park. Children from all six teams came together to play their hearts out one last time in an intense scoring game.

With AJ Carlos and Ryan Geter at the mounds for their teams the balls were flying, as were the strikes. Jeremy Litchtenberger, or “Cornbread” as he’s known, was up to bat and realized that with his teammates on their respective bases he had one goal: to send his friends home with a hit into outfield. In one of the great plays of the game, the crowd was as excited as the players.
