A passion for change: Eric Quander presents the first Joshua Tree Film Festival

A passionate interest in people, education and the improvement of society is the guiding force that drives Eric Quander. The actor, educator, Yucca Valley parks commissioner and recently, the Joshua Tree International Film Festival founder and promoter, is burning up the Morongo Basin with his unstoppable energy.

“Yucca Valley is a wonderful community,” Quander said. Involved in a variety of theatrical, entrepreneurial and educational enterprises in Virginia, Seattle and lastly Los Angeles, Quander and his wife, Alzora, choose the Morongo Valley as a place to raise their son, Ashoka.
