21-year-old with record of burglary jailed for vehicle theft

JOSHUA TREE — A 21-year-old Joshua Tree man was arrested Sept. 15 on suspicion of stealing a car last month.

The owners of a green 1997 Nissan four-door reported their vehicle stolen from the driveway of their home in the 61000 block of Granada Drive in Joshua Tree on Aug. 15. The victims later saw someone driving their vehicle in the neighborhood. They drove on nearby streets and found their stolen vehicle, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Department.
