CenturyLink expands high-speed fiber

Some East Valley residents and businesses are now able to purchase 1 gigabit per second Internet service from CenturyLink. CenturyLink has installed fiber optic network in some neighborhoods in Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Peoria and Anthem. CenturyLink has had the service in parts of the Valley for a year, but recently expanded its lines, company spokesman Mark Molzen said.

The fiber-enabled service allows users to stream high-definition video content with “little to no delays,” and download movies, songs and TV shows in seconds, Molzen said in a press release.
