Army identifies Fort Carson soldier killed in training crash

FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) — The Army has identified a Fort Carson soldier who died from injuries suffered during a training accident in California.

Officials say that 38-year-old Staff Sgt. Christopher Popham died Wednesday, six days after a Stryker vehicle rolled at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California.
