Eagles power past decimated Indians in net sectional

ANDERSON — For the second straight year, the Frankton Eagles punched their ticket to the IHSAA boys’ tennis Sectional final Thursday with a 5-0 win over Anderson.

It was a difficult evening for the Indians, who were without their No. 1 singles player Joe Moran. “(The) biggest letdown was the accident with my one player (Moran),” said Anderson coach David Ellis. “It changed the dynamics of everything. From the line up to the attitude. The fire in the belly, it just affected everybody.” Moran was injured Monday in a freak accident at the Highland Middle School.
