Pinal kidnapping suspect caught after Amber Alert issued

SAN TAN VALLEY -- An alert motorist is being credited with helping apprehend a Pinal County man suspected of kidnapping his four children and girlfriend Thursday night after an Amber Alert had been issued.

At 4:30 p.m. the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from neighbors reporting a man was assaulting his live-in girlfriend at their San Tan Valley home on East Mountain View Road. The man reportedly left the residence in a white SUV with their four children in the back seat, ages 3-8, and the woman, who according to other media reports had been knocked unconscious.
