Recent maps of dwarf planet Ceres released by NASA - The Market Business

NASA’s Dawn mission, which is currently orbiting the dwarf planet Ceres, has released a set of intriguing new maps of the tiny world.

Ceres — the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter — rose to fame last year when NASA scientists spotted mysterious bright dots on its surface. As the Dawn spacecraft grew closer and closer to its target, the spots — as well as some other strange features, like a “pyramid” mountain — became more visible. But scientists still aren’t totally sure what they are or how they formed.
