Medical group staff wears pink, urges mammograms

YUCCA VALLEY — Desert Oasis Healthcare is promoting awareness and preventative cancer screening in honor of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. The staff will be wearing pink shirts every Friday throughout the month.

“The pink on our shirts demonstrates our commitment to screening for breast cancer, offers support for those who are undergoing treatment, honors those we have lost and offers strength to the survivors among us,” Dr. Edith Jones-Poland, associate medical director of clinical quality and workflow management, said
