Commission to probe troubled San Francisco Bay Area jail

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — A former independent police auditor will helm a new commission charged with investigating a troubled San Francisco Bay Area jail.

KNTV reports (https://bit.ly/1POIRVl) Tuesday that the Board of Supervisors called for the formation of the 25-member commission after the death of inmate Michael Tyree at the county's main jail in August.
