On Tuesday the Montrealers tied the knot at the Cat House on the Kings, North America's largest no-cage, no-kill cat sanctuary.
Véronneau and Husson call themselves animal lovers, and are both especially fond of cats, so the idea of getting married surrounded by more than 1,000 feline friends never felt out of place.
The couple is the first to get married at the sanctuary, which has been the home to more than 24,000 cats and 7,000 dogs since it opened 24 years ago.
