- Wade was born on January 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. He father Dwyane Wade Sr. was a former Army sergeant and his mother Jolinda was a drug addict.
- His parents separated when he was 04 months old and had a very troubled upbringing. He was united with his father while his mother was serving her sentences.
- When he entered college he wanted to do many things he was restricted to do as growing up,such as piercing ears, wearing hats and to tattoo. He walked in to tattoo parlor and walked right out thinking ‘it just wasn’t me.’
- Wade credits his older sister Tragil for his upbringing and steering him into right direction. He was passionate about football and basketball.
