Derrick Martell Rose, the American Professional Basketball player, for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), is the youngest player to win the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2011. Here are 30 facts to know about him:
- Rose was born on October 04, 1988, in south Chicago, Illinois. He is the youngest of four sons to Brenda Rose.
- He was raised without a father in tough Englewood section of Chicago by his mother. His three brothers Dwayne, Reggie and Allan took on a fatherly role.
