Florence Pugh, one of the young actresses who seems to take Hollywood for a ride, has already made her mark as the next Kate Winslet, in almost every household, especially with the way she reinvented the most often underrated Amy March in the “Little Women.” What’s more is that the actress has just started her career, and already has an Academy Award nomination, under her belt. - Pugh partook in the “Acting for a Cause,” a live reading of Kenneth Lonergan's play “This Is Our Youth,” in an effort to raise funds for various charities including Mount Sinai Medical Center, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- She started filming for the “Little Woman” movie, just a few days after the completion of filming for her movie “Midsommar.” Her characters from both the movies are extreme opposites.
- Pugh claimed that playing the role of Amy in “Little Woman” was the best therapy she should get after playing the stressful and anxiety-inducing movie “Midsommar.”
- While the other cast members participated in a two-week-long rehearsal of the movie’s script, she was not able to join them, and that helped in creating the required distance between her and her co-stars.
- During the filming of “The Little Drummer Girl,” the scene in which her character was under the duvet with Alex, supposedly naked, is said to have taken so many takes, as nudity was banned by the American TV network that co-produced the drama.

- Florence Pugh was born on January 3, 1996 to Clinton Pugh and Deborah Pugh in Oxford, England. Her father was a restaurateur, while her mother was a professional dancer as well as dance teacher.

- Before she took up the role as Katherine in “Lady Macbeth,” she had two other offers from movies of different genres, which were also really good. However, she strongly felt she should take up the role of Katherine.
- In the movie “Little Women,” her character Amy’s big speech about marriage to Theodore "Laurie" Laurence, was actually written on a piece of scrap paper and given to her on spot by director Greta Gerwig, just a few minutes before shooting the scene.
- Apart from acting, Pugh is also an accomplished singer songwriter in real life and is credited to the soundtracks "Voyage of the Moon" and "Alternative School Orchestra Theme" from her very first movie “The Falling.”
- In April 2020, she started dating Zach Braff, actor and filmmaker, who directed her in the 2019 short film “In the Time it Takes to Get There.” The duo have been residing in Los Angeles.
- During the filming of the famous fight scene between her character Paige and AJ Lee in the movie “Fighting with my Family,” the actors actually performed the scene in front of thousands of people, among whom were famous wrestlers. She recalled the experience to have been really terrifying with the wrestlers watching their moves.
