30 Fascinating Facts About Kris Jenner You Probably Didn’t Know

Kris Jenner, the bossy, elegant and inspiring “matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner brood,” is often referred to as the “21st century's preeminent female pop-cultural brand-builder.” While all of her children are constantly in the limelight, there’s very little known about the woman, without whom, entire Kardashian empire wouldn’t exist. Here are some really interesting facts about Kris that will make you fall in love with her:

1.  In collaboration with QVC, Kris launched a clothing line named “Kris Jenner Kollection,” in the year 2011. This is not the first time, as in the early 1990s, she and her husband Bruce Jenner sold exercise equipment with QVC.
2.  Even before “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” she managed her daughters’ Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie’s careers.
3.  Kris has also been an active member in the business managements, in all of her other daughters and son’s careers too.
4.  She is the host of the pop-culture-driven daytime talk show “Kris,” which was first aired in the basis of a six-week trail summer run on July 15, 2013.
5.  Jenner has been on the cover of several fashion magazines such as CR Fashion Book, Cosmopolitan, The Hollywood Reporter, Redbook, Harper’s Bazaar, New You and Es Magazine.

11.  She was a very good friend of Nicole Brown, the ex-wife of O. J. Simpson, and even named her first daughter with Bruce Jenner, as Kendall Nicole Jenner.
12.  During the O. J. Simpson trial, known as the “Trial of the Century,” Jenner and her family suffered emotional turmoil, which she had described in her autobiography.
13.  Her first husband Robert was one of the high profile defense lawyers from the O. J. Simpson’s “Dream Team,” during the trial. However, at the time of trial, she was already married to Bruce Jenner.
14.  Kristen Mary Houghton was born on November 5, 1955 to Robert True Houghton and Mary Jo Shannon, in San Diego, California. Her father Robert was an engineer.
15.  She has a younger sister Karen. Both of them were raised by their mother, following their parents’ divorce, when Kris was just seven years old.
16.  Her mother later got married to Harry Shannon, a businessman, and moved to Oxnard California. However, the family re-shifted to San Diego, following a loss in Shannon’s business.
17.  She graduated from Clairemont High School in the year 1973. She worked at her mother’s children clothing store – Shannon & Company. In the year 1976, she worked as a flight attendant for the American Airlines.

21.  Together with her eldest daughter Kourtney, she opened “Smooch,” – a children’s boutique, in the year 2004. The store was close down in 2009, after nearly six years in operation.
22.  She married her second spouse Bruce Jenner, a retired Olympian, just a month after her divorce from Robert Kardashian. The couple have two daughters – Kendall and Kylie. Through this marriage, she also became the stepmother to Bruce’s four children – Burt, Cassandra “Cassey,” Brandon and Brody.
23.  In 2015, just months after the couple divorced on March 23, 2015, citing irreconcilable differences, Bruce came out as a transgender woman, taking the name Caitlyn Jenner.
