Migos, the American hip hop trio – Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, has been rocking the rap music industry with their music for more than a decade now. The group has four Billboard Hot 100 top 10 entries "Bad and Boujee," "MotorSport," “Stir Fry,” “Walk It Talk It.” In 2021, the trio released their long-awaited fourth album “Culture III,” the third and final installment of their Culture trilogy. - The first single "Bad and Boujee" of their new album “Culture” was released on October 28, 2016, which became the Migos' first number one single in the US.
- The group officially released "MotorSport", the lead single off their third studio album “Culture II,” along with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, on October 27, 2017.
- On April 18, 2015, Migos were scheduled to headline Georgia Southern University's 2015 spring concert at Hanner Fieldhouse in Statesboro, Georgia.
- The group took to stage nearly an hour and a half later their scheduled 9:00 pm set time, and performed less than 30 minutes, before leaving the stage.
- The rap trio and 12 members of their entourage were arrested by the Statesboro Police Department, for possession of marijuana and another Schedule II controlled substance.
- Migos’ early history dates back to the year 2008, when Quavo – Quavious Keyate Marshall, Takeoff –Kirshnik Khari Ball, and Offset – Kiari Kendrell Cephus, formed a band called Polo Club.
- Quavious Keyate Marshall is Kirshnik Khari Ball's uncle, and Kiari Kendrell Cephus is Quavious Keyate Marshall's cousin. The group felt Polo Club was too generic, and decided to change their name to “Migos.”
- Quavo was born on April 2, 1991, in Athens, Georgia, while Takeoff was born on June 18, 1994 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Offset was born on December 14, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
- The trio, who are directly related, were raised together by Quavo’s mother. They grew up together in Gwinnett County, a mostly suburban area half an hour northeast of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
- The trio had been influenced since childhood by Outkast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, and Master P, as they remember trying to imitate their music.
