LETTER TO THE EDITOR: An open letter to the residents of St. Clair Co., Lincoln

This letter is to thank all of ASPCI’s supporters over the past 20 years, and especially those who have “been there” for us during our 15 years of managing the Airport Road facility.

The St. Clair County Commission was unwilling to fund our nonprofit at the amount we needed to perform basic impoundment services, so we had no choice but to terminate our contract. This created the situation in which Pell City was forced to terminate both our contract for impoundment services as well as our lease on the Airport Road facility as of Sept. 14, 2015. Therefore, we have been working diligently to place as many of the animals in our care as possible prior to our departure.
