MLB: Rutledge’s web gem helps Red Sox notch shutout

Josh Rutledge complemented an increasingly hot bat with some extremely fancy glove work to help the Boston Red Sox blank the Chicago White Sox 3-0 Wednesday on the road.

With two outs and runners on the corners, the Cullman High product charged in from his spot at second base, barehanded a slow roller and made a diving flip to first to end Chicago’s fifth-inning threat.
