Cellphone service back after crew accidentally knocks out cable

MORONGO BASIN — Cellphone and some Internet service was knocked out for about five hours Tuesday after a Verizon crew accidentally damaged a fiber optic cable.

Service was reported down at 10:30 a.m. and was restored just after 3 p.m.
