Darkside returns: Historic battalion is called to service

MCAGCC — Almost a year and a half after it was deactivated, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines is back.

The battalion will continue its 90-year history while preparing for an April 2107 deployment to Australia. Its reactivation, which will be official Oct. 1, was celebrated in a ceremony at Torrey L. Gray Field Thursday.
