Home prices grew steadily in July, according to a report released Tuesday, underscoring the housing market’s strong run in the first half of the year even as more recent indicators suggest it is slowing.
The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index, covering existing single-family homes across the U.S., rose 4.7% in the 12 months ended in July, outpacing June’s 4.5% increase.
