Japan Tobacco Inc. fell the most in four and a half years after agreeing to pay about $5 billion for the international rights to Reynolds American Inc.’s Natural American Spirit division.
The shares fell as much as 10 percent in Tokyo trading , and were down 5.6 percent at 3,740 yen as of 10:03 a.m. local time. The benchmark Topix rose 2.2 percent.
