Feeding those in need: Pinal group wants food bank that’s open 24/7

CASA GRANDE, It’s not unusual for Andy Salazar to be awakened in the middle of the night by a phone call from somebody who’s hungry.

The 40-year-old is often a last resort for individuals desperate to feed themselves and their children. He’s spent the last four years putting together emergency food boxes for whomever contacts him.
