'I had to trust' Woman relies on God during bout with cancer

SHANKSVILLE – Sitting at home this week, across her living room from her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 40 years, Karen Lowry leaned back on a blanket with a Bible verse from Lamentations:

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
