Highway sign a tribute to victim of driver on drugs

YUCCA VALLEY — A sign reading, “Please don’t drink and drive” pays tribute to Johannes Gysen near the intersection where the Yucca Valley man was killed in a crash four years ago.

“I think it will be wonderful now there is a permanent remembrance,” Gysen’s widow, Ingeborg, said.
