The Foo Fighters, an American rock band, formed in Seattle, Washington in 1994, was founded as a one-man project by Dave Grohl, drummer of Nirvana band, which dissolved in 1994 following the lead guitarist Kurt Cobain's death. The current line-up of the band Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee.
